แต่มันจะไม่เป็นเช่นนั้น ถ้าเราได้ซักซ้อมใช้ประโยคพื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษเอาไว้เสียก่อนที่จะเดินทางไป ซึ่งประโยคสำหรับเอาตัวรอดในต่างแดนก็มีอยู่ด้วยกัน 4 ด้านหลักๆ คือ การแนะนำตัว การเดินทาง กิน-เที่ยว และที่พักอาศัย มีตัวอย่างดังต่อไปนี้
